A variety of new companies are beginning to offer discounted prices on medical services, like doctor, dental and eye care as well as medical tests and products in the form of a buyers’ discount club.  Individuals enroll, often online, and agree to pay for medical services with cash or a debit or credit card.  They usually pay a small annual membership fee, and get an ID card that is accepted by a network of doctors, drugstores or other healthcare providers.

Patients with insurance may also find the services beneficial.
